Rafa Benitez has faith Napoli can beat Juventus in today’s Italian Super Cup, but will “evaluate” his contract extension.

It kicks off in Doha at 17.30 GMT, the Italian version of the Charity Shield.

“Our squad is younger and stronger than in the past, so needs to mature and gain belief it can achieve certain levels,” Benitez told Spanish newspaper AS.

“Juventus and Roma have been at the top for longer than Napoli. As we’ve seen with De Guzman, all our players can give an important contribution.”

The tactician’s current contract expires at the end of the season, but no decision on his future has been made.

“I have an excellent rapport with the President, the club and the city. I want to give my all for this team.

“When the time comes, we will evaluate the best direction to take. We are helping Napoli to grow as a club, that is the most important thing.”
