Juventus dg Beppe Marotta warned Antonio Conte and Italy that they aren’t forced to send players for get-togethers.

Since leaving Juve, Conte has been visibly irritated at the lack of co-operation from the Serie A clubs with the Nazionale.

He has requested get-togethers ahead of their next official match in March, but Juventus seem likely to pull out.

“People are trying to create controversy where there is none, as Juventus have a cordial and good rapport with the Federation,” Marotta told Sky Sport Italia.

“The needs of the Nazionale must also fit in with the needs of a club like Juventus, who are involved on numerous different fronts, including the Champions League in February.

“What we need is some common sense all round to understand the needs of everyone in this situation.”

Conte is currently on a tour of all the Serie A club training grounds, but is yet to visit Juventus.
