“Both clubs have great history and tradition, a history that deserves to be revived, and that makes it an attractive tie for any fan. Both teams have their own quirks.

“Torino have not been doing well in their league but they have been doing well in the Europa League against difficult sides.”

Ammorrortu also revealed this fixture has “an extra special meaning” for him after losing the 1977 UEFA Cup Final to Juventus.

“I played both legs of the 1977 UEFA Cup final against Juventus. It's going to be great to look back over that, although I don't have good memories of the game in our stadium.”

Athletic actually won 2-1 in Turin, but Juve emerged victorious on away goals.
