Beppe Iachini felt Palermo “should not have been so tense” in their last-gasp 2-1 win over Sassuolo.

The Sicilians climbed above their opponents in the Serie A table thanks to a seven-match unbeaten streak, their best in the top flight since January 2010.

“We take it one game at a time,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“At times we bring home three points, at times we don’t. Today we faced a very strong Sassuolo side and should not have been so tense.

“Inexperience is our biggest defect and we must learn to finish off games when we have the opportunities.”

Andrea Belotti came off the bench to score the winner deep into stoppages, ending his long goal drought.

“Belotti is young and needs time to grow. With the hard work of the lads and the unity of the group we found the same team spirit we had in Serie B last season.

“We must ensure every game is seen as the most important so that we can play with the right attitude.”
