Marcos Alonso feels he has “improved tactically” as a player thanks to his time at Fiorentina.

The 23-year-old Spaniard is expected to start tomorrow when the Viola face Dinamo Minsk in the final Europa League group game.

“We are already qualified as group winners, so it’s normal our minds will wander towards the next Serie A match with Cesena, but we want to win because they are coming here to win,” he said in a Press conference.

“We are already qualified as group winners, so it’s normal our minds will wander towards the next Serie A match with Cesena, but we want to win because they are coming here to win,” he said in a Press conference.

“We mustn’t get the attitude wrong, especially ahead of Cesena. There’s no point thinking about who we could face in the next round yet, as it’s better to wait for the draw.”

Alonso had spent six months last season on loan at Sunderland, but is glad to be back in Italy.

“In tactical terms Italian football is very different from other countries. This is the aspect I have worked on the most, so I’ve improved tactically.”
