“Did Roma try to sign me two years ago? It is probably true,” said the Montenegro international in a Press conference.

“There were many clubs after me, but I joined City and I’m happy. I even heard Francesco Totti say I could be his heir and that honours me, but I am not at his level. I have a long way to go.
“I want to try and score tomorrow. I’ve scored against them twice before. We expect a packed stadium and it’s going to be a great atmosphere.”
Both those goals came in Serie A for Fiorentina in the 2011-12 campaign.
Roma striker Adem Ljajic is in great form at the moment and Jovetic knows him well from their time together at Fiorentina.
“Adem is a friend and an excellent player who did well last season too. I think this term he will do even better. He’s one of the best in Italy and I know what he’s capable of.”
