Lazio will have to do without Edson Braafheid for up to two months after a knee ligament injury.

The full-back limped off during today’s 2-1 victory over Parma at the Stadio Tardini.

“We fear a first to second degree lesion to the collateral medial ligament in the left knee,” chief medic Stefano Salvatori told Lazio Style Radio.

“The cruciate ligament appears to have held firm, but we need further tests to see if there has been damage to the medial or meniscus ligaments.

“As things stand, he’ll be out for four to eight weeks.”
