Adem Ljajic saw a “missed opportunity” that Roma failed to close on Juventus, but his brace snatched a point with Sassuolo.

The Giallorossi would’ve closed to within a point of the Serie A leaders with a win today, but had to come back from 2-0 down to grab a 2-2 draw.

“It was a difficult match, we ran a lot and played the entire second half a man down,” Ljajic told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was a difficult match, we ran a lot and played the entire second half a man down,” Ljajic told Sky Sport Italia.

“Sassuolo are a very strong side, especially in attack. We got off to a bad start. This is certainly a missed opportunity, as we could’ve gone to within a point of the Bianconeri and did not manage it.

“In any case, there are still many games to play and many points still up for grabs.”

Ljajic came to the rescue with a brace, confirming he has rediscovered his form.

“I feel great at the moment, as the Coach gave me the belief and the consistency I needed.”
