Napoli also took a step towards the Blucerchiati’s position by raising their initial €10m plus €2m add-ons offer.

Gabbiadini is brought in to replace Lorenzo Insigne, who is out injured for five to six months following knee ligament surgery.

This is also an investment for the future, as new Serie A rules force clubs to include a quota of Italian players, something Napoli have in short supply.
