Amid reports Hernan Crespo is ready to replace Roberto Donadoni, captain Alessandro Lucarelli insists Parma “aren’t dead yet.”

The Ducali are bottom of the Serie A table after losing 11 of their 13 games and will be docked at least one point after missing a deadline to pay outstanding wages and taxes.

Sport Mediaset claims the club has given Donadoni an ultimatum, as he will be sacked if Parma suffer another home defeat to Lazio on Sunday.

Sport Mediaset claims the club has given Donadoni an ultimatum, as he will be sacked if Parma suffer another home defeat to Lazio on Sunday.

The first choice to take over is former Parma star Crespo, who as of this season is the Coach of their Primavera youth team.

“We mustn’t let our heads drop, as we aren’t dead yet,” warned Ducali captain Lucarelli.

“We will fight to the end. Now we have two consecutive games on home turf and will try to make the most of them to get back on track.

“This group is ready to sacrifice itself and all of us, starting from me, will give the last drop of sweat to emerge from this situation.

“Nobody is giving up. Until May 30 we’ll put everything we’ve got into reaching our objective.”
