Antonio Conte praised Palermo and revealed he is monitoring both Paulo Dybala and Franco Vazquez for Italy.

The Azzurri boss is continuing his tour of all the Serie A clubs to speak with Coaches, directors and players.

Today he was in Palermo’s Boccadifalco camp and watched the training session, sitting down with Coach Beppe Iachini, technical director Dario Baccin and general manager Andrea Cardinaletti.

“Palermo are having a great season and I had no doubts on that, as Iachini is a well-prepared tactician,” Conte told the FIGC website.

“I know several of the Rosanero players, as I have worked with them at club level. Now we will continue monitoring the League and working hard.

“We are keeping an eye on everyone, including those who could decide to opt for the Azzurri like Dybala and Vazquez.”

Dybala is a 21-year-old Argentine forward who has not yet played for his country at international level, but has an Italian passport.

Vazquez is 25 years old and also from Argentina with an Italian passport, but was only signed by Palermo in January 2012.

This season he has scored three Serie A goals and provided three assists in 12 games.

Conte also spoke about his call for Italy get-togethers between international fixtures, as otherwise he won’t see the players again for four months.

“There is the need for everyone to collaborate. One day more or less with the players won’t change the rapport with Coaches and clubs, which must be one of reciprocal faith and respect.”
