Napoli director of sport Riccardo Bigon confirmed “some of the rumoured names are correct” for the January window.

The Partenopei are forced to do without Lorenzo Insigne for five months, while Michu and Juan Camilo Zuniga are also dealing with long-term injury problems.

“The lengthy absence of Insigne forces us to move on the market, but only if it is the right deal for us,” Bigon told Sky Sport Italia ahead of today’s game with Cagliari.

“It will not depend on our position in the standings.”

Among the players heavily linked with Napoli are Wolfsburg winger Ivan Perisic and Liverpool’s Lucas Leiva.

“Some of the rumoured names are correct, but there are others we are tracking who haven’t emerged in the papers yet.

“Obviously sometimes transfer strategy is talked about just to make news, but we accept that, as it’s part of the game.”
