Roberto Mancini said starting his new Inter era against Milan and Roma will be “fascinating and difficult.”

The Coach had already been at the helm from 2004 to 2008, but returned last week to replace sacked Walter Mazzarri.

“Did I work on tactics or psychology? Both, but I need time because it’s a difficult time historically for Italian football as well as Inter,” Mancio told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“The first thing I focused on, more than tactics, was enthusiasm. When will we see a winning Inter? There is no precise date for objectives, but we do need to hurry our improvement.”

His first match in charge will be the Derby della Madonnina on Sunday, followed by a Serie A clash with second-placed Roma.

“It is an interesting coincidence. No game would’ve been easy in Serie A, but I have to say starting with Milan and Roma is both fascinating and difficult.”
