“It is important to focus on Empoli and take it one game at a time, as we mustn’t be fooled by their points tally. They are very dangerous,” warned the Coach in a Press conference.
Pioli was asked repeatedly about the next match against Juventus, but shrugged off these questions.
“You do not understand my ideas. There is only Empoli, an opponent that has been on a losing streak for quite a while, so that run has to end sometime.
“The table lies, as they play intense and attacking football, making everyone struggle including Juventus and Roma. Watch their games to understand how difficult this is going to be for us.”
Lazio are in joint third place with Sampdoria going into this weekend, but miss Federico Marchetti, Stefan Radu, Dusan Basta, Keita Balde Diao and Santiago Gentiletti.
