Nicola Leali’s ban has been reduced on appeal to two games, which means that he can be back in Cesena’s goal when they visit Chievo this weekend.

The youngster, on loan from Juventus this term, was sent off for the Cavallucci Marini half an hour into the match with Inter on October 26, for bringing down Rodrigo Palacio when through on goal.

The goalkeeper had been handed a three-game ban for his dismissal, though, for being reported for an ‘insulting expression’ made towards the fourth official about the match officials.

But today the Italian Football Federation has reduced the ‘keeper’s ban to two games and a €5,000 fine instead.

In the same report, the panel rejected Atalanta’s appeal, instead confirming Luca Cigarini’s three match ban.
