Alessandro Florenzi has not sustained a broken ankle, Roma have confirmed after tests carried out today.

The midfielder had to be taken off during the Giallorossi’s 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich last night, and it was feared that the 23-year-old had fractured his ankle.

The midfielder had to be taken off during the Giallorossi’s 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich last night, and it was feared that the 23-year-old had fractured his ankle.

However, Roma Radio has announced this morning that Florenzi was subjected to an X-Ray by the club’s medical staff, with the results confirming that there is no fracture in the joint.

Florenzi has already started a treatment process, but it is not yet known when the Italian will be able to return to the Roma side.

Jose Holebas has also been assessed by the club, with the left-back being diagnosed with bruised ribs.
