The German champions had beaten the Giallorossi 7-1 in Rome, and despite recording a 2-0 victory last night, Gotze admits Bayern were given a much sterner test.

“It was a lot different than in Rome,” the Germany international reflected in an interview with bundesliga.de

“We had no space. That meant it wasn’t easy for us.

“Franck Ribery scoring the first goal was very important for us, after that the spaces opened up.”
