Andrea Bertolacci gives his lowdown ahead of Genoa’s clash against Juventus tonight and doubts the Bianconeri will be tired.

Tonight’s Week 9 meeting cannot fail to bring back unfortunate memories of last season’s meeting at Marassi between the two.

“I remember a great Genoa side that played to win the game,” Bertolacci has considered to Tuttomercatoweb today.

“Then Gianluigi Buffon did his best and even saved a penalty before Andrea Pirlo went on to net the winner with that free-kick.

“Of that game we shall repeat our intensity and attitude, whilst we hope for a change in our fortunes.

“But Pirlo is one I would like to play with. He’s really humble and despite his age, he’s still there dictating play in midfield and giving lessons to others.”

Juve have had an increased fixture list of late, but Bertolacci does not believe it will affect them.

“It would be counterproductive to think that. I think that they have been built to last and to do well.

“In order to compensate with their technical level, we need to be hungrier than them, play tight, as a team.

“They are no weaker than last season as recent results show. In the last three seasons, they have dominated in Italy, but then they’ve found teams cut out for them in Europe.”
