Juventus full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner could be a target for Arsenal, according to reports from Britain.

The Switzerland international is out of contract in the summer, and has so far failed to agree terms with the Bianconeri on a new deal, with it believed that his wage demands are holding things up.

Both the Daily Star and Daily Mail report that Arsene Wenger has taken note and could move in January to bring Lichtsteiner to the Emirates Stadium.

It is also suggested that the Gunners are likely to face competition from Chelsea and Real Madrid.

Italian sports newspaper Tuttosport reports that contract talks with Lichtsteiner have stalled, and the Old Lady could look to Udinese wing-back Silvan Widmer as a replacement should the 30-year-old end his stay in Turin.

Earlier reports today had also indicated that the club could attempt to snatch Micah Richards from under the noses of Fiorentina once his loan spell with the Viola comes to an end in the summer.
