Empoli manager Maurizio Sarri expects tomorrow’s clash to be entertaining “because of Cagliari’s style.”

The Sardinians have intermittently played open and attacking football this season, but Sarri expects them to travel to Tuscany and take their game to Empoli.

“I think that we should expect an open and entertaining game where everything can happen until the final blow,” Sarri began during his pre-match Press conference.

“Obviously this is true also because of Cagliari’s style. Physically they are fine and obviously this makes them even more dangerous.”

Some have even compared Empoli’s manager to all-attack maestro Zdenek Zeman.

“I really like Zeman, both as a manager and as a person, because I think he is genuine. But there are differences between us. If I had to find something in common I think it would be our approach to games, the fact that we constantly want to dictate play.”

Sarri isn’t keen on ringing the changes despite having played on Monday in a fiery 1-1 draw with Genoa.

He won’t be able to play first choice ‘keeper Luigi Sepe, so Davide Bassi will deputise.

“The team was tired after the game in Genoa, also because the pitch there wasn’t at its best. But at the moment I don’t think I’ll rotate much because of tiredness.

“Tomorrow I’ve got an idea in attack but there’s no competition or dualism in any position. Resources are what we’ve got and that’s it.”
