James Pallotta said he was moved to tears by Roma’s supporters during yesterday’s defeat to Bayern Munich.

The club were hit with a 7-1 mauling at the Olimpico by Pep Guardiola’s side, but their President remains upbeat thanks to the fans’ full-time reaction to applaud the Giallorossi.

“Unfortunately just one of those days,” Pallotta began in a statement published on Roma’s official website.

“Watching the Boston Celtics over my life we had many many bad days on the way to 17 championships.

“One day doesn't change anything. It happens on the way to glory.

“I saw a video of our fans after the game: made me cry. You are the best in the world.  So proud of being part of Roma.”
