He was asked about Coach Garcia’s comments that despite a 3-2 defeat to Juventus, he was confident Roma would be crowned Serie A champions.

“We said from the start that we want to compete to win, so the Coach is right to say he’s sure we’ll win the Scudetto.”

Captain Francesco Totti was expected to rest ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, but instead he starts.

“Totti is playing from the start today because he is a great player and Garcia decides when to use him. With Totti on the field, Roma are stronger.”

It has been a tense two weeks since the Juve game and Morgan De Sanctis launched accusations at the Bianconeri.

“At Roma everyone is free to express their opinion,” added Baldissoni. “Then everyone talked about this game, from motivators to wives.

“We are not interested in this circus. We want to win trophies and are working to achieve this.”
