Lazio striker Filip Djordjevic has insisted that there is no bad blood between himself and his Albanian teammates Etrit Berisha and Lorik Cana.

The two Balkan nations’ recent European Championship qualifier in Belgrade was abandoned shortly before half-time after clashes between the players and then with fans, incited by a political flag flown over the pitch by a drone.

However, for the Lazio contingent who were on both sides of that Tuesday evening brawl, there is no aftermath.

However, for the Lazio contingent who were on both sides of that Tuesday evening brawl, there is no aftermath.

“There is no bad blood from Serbia-Albania or intolerance between us,” Djordjevic told Lalaziosiamonoi.it

“With Cana and Berisha I exchanged a few words in a quite friendly climate. At Lazio, we all share a common goal – to register points

“I don’t know what to say about what happened in Belgrade, but I can say that when I returned to Rome, we greeted each other like we usually do.

“I'm convinced that our relationship will continue to be the same.

“We also exchanged a couple of friendly words about what happened. The Italian players listened to us.

“I don’t know if they understood [any of what we said], but we joked about it … They even suggested doing a two-on-two!”
