Talk of extending the Spaniard’s contract beyond its June 2015 expiry was prevalent over the summer, but died down after a difficult opening few weeks to the season.

However, with the team back on track thanks to three consecutive wins, the Corriere del Mezzogiorno preview the President’s return from the United States with the suggestion that a set meeting with the Coach may see a new contract discussed.

The publication also report that in view of Week 7’s trip to San Siro, De Laurentiis will also offer up a bonus to the playing staff, should they be able to defeat Inter.

Any win over the Nerazzurri would be a third consecutive League defeat for former Napoli Coach Walter Mazzarri.
