Manchester United are reported today are readying a €38.5m offer this January for Fiorentina’s Juan Cuadrado.

The Red Devils and Barcelona were both heavily linked with making a move for the 26-year-old during the summer transfer window, only for nothing to materialise and the player to enter into contract extension talks with La Viola.

Whilst talk in recent days has been split on the progress of those talks between difficulties in wage demands and agreement on a buyout clause, the Corriere dello Sport suggest United are again loitering.

The Rome-based daily indicates that Louis van Gaal’s side are preparing to come in with a €38.5m offer for the Colombian.

However, it is also asserted that Fiorentina are less than willing to consider a midseason sale and that only his transfer request would change their intention to hold on to him until at least next June.
