The defender attended a publicity event this morning and discussed a number of topics, including upcoming matches this week.

“This week we face Atletico Madrid and Roma – it will be an important week, we hope to continue to do well,” Chiellini reflected to those present.

Also on the agenda was Conte’s decision to leave Juve in the summer and Allegri’s appointment in his place. With the former Milan Coach the team have started the season in strong form.

“With Conte it was three incredible years at Juve, we won everything. His departure surprised us, but we were aware that the relationship between the Coach and Juventus would not last forever.

“However, we have immediately created a good feeling with Massimiliano Allegri, we have made ourselves available to continue a journey that began in previous years, to win something.”

Conte is now Italy CT, in place to help the Azzurri move on from a difficult World Cup this summer.

“I am glad that with the Azzurri we have encountered a Coach that we already know.

“Suarez’s bite has healed, but the World Cup is a wound that we will carry with us because it was a big disappointment.”

Chiellini is approaching 10 years with Juventus and was asked what prospects there are in ever leaving to play elsewhere.

“Maybe in another life. I hope that Juve is my final team, I would see out my career here.”
