Eusebio Di Francesco insists Sassuolo deserved at least a point against Napoli, as “the result is unfair.”

Jose Callejon got the only goal, but Federico Peluso hit the crossbar late on in a 1-0 win for the Partenopei.

“Considering the prestige that Napoli have, they didn’t create very much. Tell me one save that Consigli had to make,” argued Coach Di Francesco on Sky Sport Italia.

“I think the result is unfair considering what we saw on the field. We deserved something more. There was a great assist from Higuain and we have to admit that, but overall we were not inferior to the Azzurri.

“Looking at the final statistics, there really wasn’t much of a difference.”

Nonetheless, Sassuolo have failed to score since the opening weekend, firing blanks four times in a row.

“The 7-0 defeat to Inter affected us psychologically and we have to shake off that fear.”
