The Uruguayan was replaced during the first half of the Bianconeri’s eventual 1-0 win at San Siro on Saturday night, with it feared that he had torn a muscle in his thigh.

However, Juve have provided an update on the situation and looked to alleviate those particular fears.

However, Juve have provided an update on the situation and looked to alleviate those particular fears.

“Martin Caceres was not present with the group after sustaining an injury during Saturday’s 1-0 success at San Siro,” the club report in today’s update from training, posted on their official website.

“The Uruguayan underwent tests this morning which revealed that he had suffered a hyperextension of the biceps femoris in his left thigh and not a tear as it was first feared.

“His condition will be assessed further before he can return for selection.”
