However, Vidic was not wholly satisfied with the side’s performance, as he warned his teammates against resting on their laurels.

“It was important to get the three points. Overall, we are very satisfied with the result, but perhaps we could play better,” the Serb has told Gazeta.ua.

“The game was not easy. We did not have many chances, but for us it was important to start well and get the three points.

“I hope that we will show an improvement in our next match.”

Inter resume Serie A matters this weekend with a trip to Palermo on Sunday.
