The play-off draw completed in Nyon has paired the Azzurrini – seeded and qualified as Group 9 winners after dismissing Cyprus 7-1 – with probably the weakest among the unseeded teams.

Italy, who avoided the Netherlands and Croatia, are scheduled to play away in the first-leg on October 8 and the then the second at home six days later, on October 14.
