Atalanta President Antonio Percassi announced the Stadio Azzurri d’Italia will be restructured within 2017.

“The stadium represents the usual problem. We have clear ideas within the club and have taken action where it was possible to do so in terms of infrastructure,” Percassi told Bergamo TV.

“We revamped the Zingonia training complex and even Italy Coach Conte complimented us on those facilities.

“If the council gives us a lease for 99 years, like the one Udinese” data-scaytid=”11″>Udinese have, then we will take the initiative for the stadium.

“Our project is already drawn up and will be presented in detail before the season is out. There are various stages, as we’d need to knock down the Curva Nord, then the Sud and eventually the Tribuna d’Onore.

“We want to substantially reconstruct the Creberg section, including more seats and an external commercial investment.

“The whole stadium without barriers and with every seat covered is essential nowadays.”
