Roberto Donadoni complained he has “far too many players” in his Parma squad at the moment as he prepares for Milan.

The Ducali got off to a poor start this season, losing 1-0 to newly-promoted Cesena.

“We didn’t begin the way we wanted to. Now our objective is to make up for that disappointing performance against Cesena,” Donadoni told Sky Sport Italia.

“Our next opponents will be Milan, so we need a thoroughly convincing performance to bring home points.

“It will be an exciting game, I am sure of it. Both sides have improved compared to last year, in their men and their tactics.

“Milan will want to confirm their good work in the debut, while we want to get back on track.”

Donadoni had an unusual complaint for the club’s work on the transfer market this summer.

“There are new players and good elements, but far too many players. There are some left over and this can be a problem.”
