Pippo Inzaghi hails Milan’s work in the transfer market, but warns that the team can only approach the season game by game.
The Rossoneri have begun their reign under the retired striker in winning fashion, with a 3-1 result over Lazio in Week 1 of Serie A.
“We must not run, we know what happened last year,” Inzaghi has warned to reporters today, though.
“We must be realistic and clear, we are great enthusiasts but we must think game by game.
“There is a good spirit, the fans are back to being close to us, now it is up to us to do well, from the next match in Parma, which will not be easy.”
The club’s transfer market has left the 41-year-old feeling positive.
“We have to thank the President and the club, for a transfer market that has brought us major players.
“The latest arrivals, Torres, Van Ginkel and Bonaventura, are coups of excellent workmanship.”
Inzaghi was talking from the UEFA Elite Club Coaches Forum in Nyon.
“It was a great thrill, and I thank UEFA for this invitation. For me it is a source of great pride to represent Milan and to sit at the table with these great Coaches.
“Here are the best in the world and I am happy to have been here. I hope it is a good omen, it was exciting and I hope to do well and follow their example in the coming years.”
