“We are fortunate to have a Coach like him who knows the group. It seems to me that the team is responding well.
“The Palermo result is a positive result, because we all know how the game went. Playing with 10 men against 11 for an hour is not easy. The team showed great character.”
Samp are under a new President now in Massimo Ferrero, who has taken a more hands-on approach to the role than his predecessor.
“The President is an outspoken person, he has thrown himself into this adventure with great ambition and I am grateful to him – if we are satisfied for the transfer market, it is because of him.”
