“I do not feel like a mainstay for the Azzurri: I am here today, I could be gone tomorrow,” said the defender in a Press conference.

“I have to earn my place in the squad, just as it was in the past and will be in the future. That’s true both in a game situation and on the training field, at Inter and with the Nazionale.

“I will work hard and try to become important for the Azzurri in future.”

The friendly with the Netherlands will be at the Stadio San Nicola in Bari, the home of Ranocchia’s former club.

“It is emotional to be back in Bari. Holland are a tough team, but we have worked hard for this moment.”
