Fiorentina announced that Giuseppe Rossi will need more keyhole surgery on his right knee this week.
The striker’s career has been blighted by injuries and he has not yet recovered from a knock in pre-season.
Fiorentina released a statement confirming his visit with specialist Dr Andrew Williams in London was not positive.
Rossi will need to undergo diagnostic keyhole surgery this week to resolve the current problems in his right knee.
The operation will be performed over the next few days following another consultation the player requested with Dr Steven Singleton, the assistant of Professor Richard Steadman in Veil (Colorado).
As this is diagnostic surgery, it’s not clear how long Rossi will be out for, but it’s another desperately sad blow for the Italy international.
