Roma released a statement confirming they have paid €1m for Holebas, plus up to €0.5m in performance-related bonuses.
This is considerably less than the predicted €3m transfer fee for the 30-year-old left-back.
Holebas played for Greece at the World Cup in Brazil and joins fellow internationals Vasilis Torosidis and Kostas Manolas in the Roma squad.
