The Dutch international had his first season at Stamford Bridge ruined by injury problems and it has been rumoured he’d be allowed out on loan, perhaps also with an option to buy.

“These rumours about a possible signing with Milan are without sense or foundation,” agent Karel Jansen told Calciomercato.com.

“For now, there is absolutely nothing in it. Van Ginkel will stay at Chelsea. We have not had any direct contact with Milan.”
