Conte 'welcomed with open arms'

Antonio Conte has commented on his first days as Italy Coach, as he continues on his nationwide tour.

The new Azzurri boss was presented to the Press on Tuesday and has since been to visit Napoli, Roma, Lazio and, this morning, Fiorentina.

And the tactician has revealed that he has been well received at every club so far, and was delighted to visit Coverciano for the first time in his new role.

“It’s a big thrill to come to Coverciano as the national team boss,” he told reporters in Florence.

“Even though this is a place that I know very well.

“I’ve been welcomed with open arms in Florence, Roma and Naples so far. It’s been a very pleasurable few days.”

Conte then briefly remarked on Giuseppe Rossi, who he spoke to today.

“I expect to rely on his heavily.”
