Alessio Cerci has categorically denied posting a tweet announcing that he is set for a move to Atletico Madrid.

The Torino forward has been linked with a move to the Spanish champions of late, with a message on social media briefly appearing claiming he had reached an agreement with the Vicente Calderon side.

The tweet was then deleted but, speaking to Sky, the Italy international insisted someone must have hacked into his account and that he did not even delete the message.

“I absolutely didn’t send the message, I was playing the Playstation with my teammates! Someone must have gone onto my account,” Cerci explained.

“Now I will take action because it absolutely wasn’t me. I received so many telephone calls and I didn’t know what was going on. I don’t know what to say.

“Now we will see who it was. You can talk about the transfer window, but I never wrote anything of that sort.

“It wasn’t even me who deleted it! Now I will go down the legal route and see who it was.”
