There are reports Atletico Madrid and Torino have agreed a €20m transfer fee for Alessio Cerci.

According to CNN pundit Tancredi Palmeri, the deal has been struck this evening and the €20m price-tag includes performance-related bonuses.

This would allow Atleti to beat other contenders Milan, Inter and AS Monaco to the Italy international.

The report follows on from Spanish newspaper AS this morning suggesting Atletico Madrid were stepping up the pressure for Cerci.

Atletico Madrid had one previous offer rejected, thought to be in the region of €14m, but Diego Simeone persisted in his interest for the player.

Now 27, Cerci scored a very impressive 13 Serie A goals in 37 appearances last season.

He has not yet played in Torino’s Europa League qualifiers, so will be available for Champions League selection.
