Keita Balde Diao is enthusiastic for Lazio’s chances of success this season, as he outlines personal ambitions too.
The 19-year-old netted for the Aquile during yesterday evening’s pre-season 1-1 draw with Latina and holds high hopes heading into 2014-15 with the capital club.
“I hope for a good year and one full of satisfaction,” Keita has told reporters since the match.
“If we work well then we can aspire to something important, we are a big group.
“We have so many quality players, both in midfield and in attack, and we understand each other very well.”
Work this summer is under new Coach Stefano Pioli.
“The Coach is always trying to fix the little details. This is a good thing, he is a Coach who communicates a lot and this will help us to improve.
“I am always trying to improve myself, especially in dribbling.
“The 4-3-3 formation suits me perfectly and is what I played in as a youngster when at Barcelona. We are developing as a team.
“And me? I always want to be in the field to be a protagonist and to have fun. This is my goal, then we’ll see what comes.
“I am happy to have scored [against Latina], this is true, but now I hope to score more in the games that count, starting from the first day of the season against Milan.”
