The Real Madrid Coach, who led his current side to the Champions League and Copa Del Rey in his first year at the Bernabeu, also declined to comment on who he thought would be Cesare Prandelli’s successor.

“I’m not saying anything, but I can’t do it because I am in work,” Ancelotti is quoted as saying by ANSA. “There will be time [for me] to be CT.”

The former Milan boss also wished new FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio good luck in his new role and said it was time for Italian clubs to work together to achieve reform.

“Tavecchio’s election? I wish him the best. There is a need for them to roll up their sleeves and work with humility and a unity of intentions, and with intelligence.”
