Alessandro Del Piero faces Juventus today with the A-League All-Stars and hinted his future is in Japan or China.

It will be his final match in Australia, leaving Sydney FC, and the first time he has faced his former club. It kicks off at 10.30 UK time (09.30 GMT).

“This is a game without opponents, only friends,” Del Piero told Tuttosport. “It will be a celebration. Everyone wants to put in a good performance and fight it out, as none of us are prepared to look bad, especially after Juventus beat the Indonesian All-Stars 8-1.”

The veteran has not yet decided on his next move, but dropped a few hints that point towards Japan or China.

“Obviously returning to Juve represents an option for the future, as I still have my house in Turin and could never say no to Juve. I am far too tied to the Bianconeri world.

“However, right now I am looking at other projects and have to consider the present. Within two weeks it will all be defined.

“America and Japan are two valid options, but there are others too. I have to consider many things before deciding. First of all, Tobias starts school next year and therefore we need stability.

“Some Leagues start in the summer, others in October or even January. My status as global ambassador for the Asian Cup, with the Final played right here in Sydney in January, could perhaps take me in this direction.”

Del Piero could well reunite with Marcello Lippi, Alberto Gilardino and Alessandro Diamanti in China with Guangzhou Evergrande.
