The Catalans have been continually speculated as ready to make a move for the Viola’s Colombian winger this summer.

Amid reports in Spain that Manchester City may also be ready to enter into the process, Mundo Deportivo say Barca are now ready to launch an assault for the 26-year-old.

The Catalan publication believe that Coach Luis Enrique and President Josep Maria Bartomeu have met this week to determine the best strategy to see out the Blaugrana’s summer transfer policy.

Whilst having already spent a fair amount this summer, it is understood that the pair have resolved to officially present an offer to Fiorentina during the course of next week and have Cuadrado tied up and signed by that same week’s conclusion.

In Barca’s apparent haste, they are seen as prepared to pay up to €35m to complete the transfer within this timeframe.

Part of the intention to seal the deal inside the next seven days is the club’s reputed intention to then make a move for former Roma defender Marquinhos, currently on the books at Paris Saint-Germain.
