Speculation that Napoli are in talks with Manchester United over a proposed loan move for Marouane Fellaini has been played down.

Rumours emerged this morning suggesting that the Vesuviani were in pole position for the Belgium international, with sporting director Riccardo Bigon reported as in Brussels to meet with the player and his agent.

Reports through the summer have suggested that Fellaini is on his way out of Old Trafford after just the one season and indications today were Napoli were negotiating an initial loan deal for the 26-year-old.

However, whilst CalcioNapoli24.net insist that the deal for the midfielder is real, Kiss Kiss Napoli say their sources deny negotiations have been held in Brussels, citing Bigon as stopping over in the city only en route to Germany.
