Crowd trouble mars Lazio win

Lazio beat newly-promoted Serie B side Perugia 3-0, but the friendly was preceded by crowd trouble.

The ‘friendly’ match kept police busy with two rival sets of fans throwing smokebombs, objects and trying to come into contact outside the stadium.

There was also tension as Lazio ultras staged a protest against President Claudio Lotito, who they claim is weakening the team by failing to sign Davide Astori.

As for the 80-minute game itself, Cristian Ledesma converted a penalty before Diego Novaretti and Felipe Anderson rounded out the scoreline.

Anderson has been on fine form in pre-season and provided an assist as well as finding the net with a sensational volley into the top corner.

Lazio: Marchetti; Basta, Cana, Novaretti, Radu; Cataldi, Ledesma, Braafheid (Minala 67); Felipe Anderson, Mauri, Keita (Tounkara 54)
