These sides will face off in the Guinness International Champions Cup, starting tonight with Real Madrid-Inter at 23.10 UK time (22.10 GMT).

“Both teams have reinforced a great deal over the summer,” Ancelotti told the Corriere dello Sport.

“They made good buys, especially the Giallorossi, as Juan Iturbe is a very valid player.

“Inter made more changes, though.”

Ancelotti already won the Champions League with Real Madrid in May, but added the likes of James Rodriguez and World Cup winner Toni Kroos to their ranks.

“The club is doing very well on the transfer market and I think will continue until the last available day.

“The two new arrivals will certainly be of help. I think the current squad is already more competitive than last season.”

Angel Di Maria is the subject of a €45m bidding war with Manchester United and PSG interested.

“Di Maria? He is a Real Madrid player,” noted Ancelotti.
