Roma have made official the signing of Antonio Sanabria, confirming fees paid to Sassuolo and Barcelona.

The highly-rated Paraguayan agreed to join the Giallorossi in January, but as a temporary way around the club having reached their non-EU player limit, his registration rights were officially bought that month by Sassuolo.

However, having begun pre-season in the capital this summer, Roma have now confirmed details of officially taking on his registration.

The Lupi have paid the Neroverdi €2.4m to effectively take over fulfilling further payment to Barcelona, worth an initial €2.5m, with variables taking that up to a potential €7m over time.

Sanabria has also agreed to a five-year contract with the club.
