Simone Scuffet is confident he made the right decision by rejecting Atletico Madrid and staying with Udinese.
The young goalkeeper was offered the chance to go to the Spanish champions this summer after impressing in his debut season for the Zebrette.
But the teenager opted to turn down the Colchoneros’ advances, and has decided to remain at the Friuli.
“Faced with an important offer you have to think about things,” he told reporters this afternoon.
“But I am convinced I have done the right thing. Udinese is the right place for me to grow personally and professionally.
“I got the offer, but after speaking with my agent, family and friends, I decided to stay.
“Obviously, Atletico Madrid are a great club, but I am convinced I’m right.”
